I am the principal/owner of Smithson Bookkeeping &
Business Services. I grew up in the San Jose, CA area. In 1994, I decided to start my own business so that I could earn a living and still stay home with my baby. Well, my son is now in high school and I have a successful business helping other small business
owners take care of the financial part of their businesses.
I am the Treasurer for the Women Entrepreneurs of the World, Reno Chapter. I have recently taken on the Accounting & Registration Chair position for the American Cancer Society Reno/Sparks Relay for Life and I am the Treasurer for BNI - Accelerators.
I am a QuickBooks, QuickBooks POS & QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions ProAdvisor. I am also an Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor. I am recognized as a Certified Bookkeeper through the
American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers, which has its own professional
code of ethics and continuing education requirements. Staying up to date on changes in my
profession is highly important to me.
